Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Siltawi Workshop Platform ("Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Siltawi ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

Siltawi provides an online platform that connects students and professionals with workshop programmes in technology and creative fields. Our services include:

• Access to workshop programme information and enrollment
• Learning materials and project-based training
• Mentorship and community support
• Progress tracking and certification
• Payment processing and administration

3. User Accounts and Registration

3.1 Account Creation

To use certain features of the Platform, you must register and create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

3.2 Account Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Programme Enrollment and Payment

4.1 Enrollment

When you enroll in a workshop programme, you agree to:

• Complete the enrollment process and provide required information
• Pay all applicable fees on time
• Dedicate the required time and effort to the programme
• Follow programme guidelines and code of conduct
• Respect intellectual property rights

4.2 Fees and Payment

Programme fees are listed on the respective programme pages. All fees are in Ethiopian Birr (ETB) unless otherwise stated. Payment must be made in full before accessing programme materials.

4.3 Refund Policy

Refunds may be available within 7 days of enrollment if you have not accessed more than 20% of the course materials. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to support@siltawi.et.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Share your account credentials with others
• Distribute course materials without authorization
• Engage in harassment, hate speech, or discrimination
• Upload malicious code or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
• Use the Platform for commercial purposes without permission

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Platform Content

All content on the Platform, including text, graphics, logos, course materials, and software, is the property of Siltawi or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

6.2 User Content

By submitting content to the Platform (projects, comments, etc.), you grant Siltawi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for educational and promotional purposes.

7. Certification and Completion

Certificates of completion are awarded to students who successfully complete all programme requirements. Siltawi reserves the right to determine whether requirements have been met.

Certificates represent completion of the programme but do not guarantee employment or specific career outcomes.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Platform at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe:

• Violates these Terms
• Is harmful to other users or the Platform
• Violates applicable laws or regulations
• Is fraudulent or involves payment disputes

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

9.1 Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SILTAWI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or Platform notification. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ethiopia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
