We believe the gap between talent and opportunity in Ethiopia is a resource problem, not a talent problem. Our workshops are designed to close that gap — one workshop at a time.
In 5 years, we aim to be the platform that every Ethiopian tech employer recognises — not as a certificate, but as a signal of practical readiness and real-world capability.
Ethiopia has incredible talent. What it lacks is structured access to the tools, workflows, and mentorship that turn raw potential into employment-ready skills.
Siltawi was founded in 2024 by a small team of developers and designers who had seen this gap first-hand — and decided to do something about it. Not a university. Not an NGO. A focused workshop platform built around one question: what would it take to get someone hired in 30 days?
Today, our graduates work at iCog Labs, hold freelance contracts, and are building products used by real businesses across Addis Ababa and beyond.
Siltawi launched its first Web Development workshop in Addis Ababa with 40 students and a single mentor.
Expanded to include Graphic Design and launched a network of 12+ partner organisations across Ethiopia.
Over 1,000 learners enrolled. Our graduates work at top companies in Ethiopia and abroad.
We hold our curriculum to the same bar as the companies our graduates join. Every lesson is grounded in real industry workflows.
Cost should never be a barrier. Our 300 Birr entry point is a deliberate decision — quality education within reach for every student in Ethiopia.
We measure success by outcomes: freelance contracts won, internships secured, and junior roles landed within weeks of graduating.
The tools and stacks we teach are what real companies use today — not legacy curricula written for yesterday's market.
